On Saturday night, November 26, there was a police chase ending serious injuries.
According to Platte County Sheriff’s office, a deputy tried to pull a vehicle over on Interstate 29 near Tiffany Springs Parkway due to traffic violations. In addition he learned that the vehicle’s license plate was registered to a different vehicle.
However, when the deputy tried to stop the driver, he fled and the deputy gave chase, but he ended the chase north of 64th Street. The vehicle kept going at speed on 64th Street, even though the chase was over and hit another vehicle on the same Street at the Interstate 29.
The Platte County Sheriff’s Department went on to say that the suspect sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital. In addition according to witnesses there were two passengers in the suspect vehicle who fled on foot following the crash and they are currently being sought.
